There are two things that I like to do on a Saturday, one of them is visit my club and do some target shooting. When you enjoy the company of like-minded colleagues and friends, the challenge of setting your rig up correctly and getting that .177 mm diameter pellet through the red dot, it all combines for a great sport. But how do we get the best out of our kit and what should we use? Well, here is one choice that really is a pleasure to use. The HW100 T. This rifle was developed on from the HW100 Pre charged Pneumatic as a specialised sporting option, and what an option. As usual the HW is built to Herman Weihrauch's demanding standard of high quality German engineering.

It comes as standard, if standard is the right word, with a 14 shot rotary magazine. This is very easy to load and insert. However, many FT Shooters wish to use a single shot rifle, so Weihrauch have manufactured a superb single shot 'swing out' action replacement for the multi-shot magazine. This is not only a clever little 'gizmo' but also beautifully made to the same exacting standards as the rifle. Even the most demanding pellet polisher will not be let down by this!

The rifle itself is nothing short of of HW's usual quality benchmark. The stock has a cut-away forend - many FT shooters prefer this so that they can get a better grip and 'pull back' the rifle - and nicely chequered pistol grip with a spacious thumbhole and high cheek rest.

The rigger action is as smooth as silk, as is the bolt recycling. What else would you expect. It comes in .177 for the FT Shooter or .22 for the furry bunny hunter, or should we say Pest Controller? this leaves you with a hard pressed decision if you participate in both disciplines.. I know, buy both!
